Loop

Forsaken runs a 4v1-style asymmetric survival loop: Survivors complete objectives under a countdown timer while a Killer hunts them. The pressure architecture is binary — you either exit alive or you don't, with no mid-round repositioning of goals. At 70,366 CCU in Alpha, the loop is already load-bearing without a full content slate behind it.


Mechanic

The stickiness comes from a character-unlock quest chain, currently gating Jane Doe [3-18] behind progressive objectives. That's a completion-loop layered on top of the session-survival loop — two retention engines running simultaneously. The vote ratio (2,163,136 up / 380,253 down, roughly 85% positive) confirms the base loop is landing. The -0.18 vibe score flags mild net-negative sentiment, which in a kill-role game is structurally expected: Killers win by design, Survivors lose by design, and loss-state games always compress vibe scores downward.


Spin

The existing engine is a loss-state survival loop with character-gated progression. The Spin: convert the Killer role from a player-controlled seat into a rotating PvE threat with escalating phases, then gate Killer-side cosmetics behind Survivor win streaks. That reframe inverts the scarcity pressure — instead of Survivors dreading the Killer, they're farming the Killer. The 70,366 CCU baseline means any structural experiment runs on a real sample. We'd A/B the PvE phase variant on a secondary map before touching the core asymmetric mode.
